The drug is for the treatment of dogs in which gastrointestinal disturbances are associated with emotional stress.
For use only by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.
Darbazine Spansule Capsule No.1
For treatment of dogs in which infectious bacterial gastroenteritis is associated with emotional stress.
Do not continue medication longer than 5 days. Overdosage or prolonged administration may produce nephrotoxicity as manifested by albuminuria, presence of granular casts and depressed urinary output. If it is desirable to administer a vasoconstrictor, norepinephrine is the drug of choice. Federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.

The drug is used in cats in which gastrointestinal disturbances are associated with emotional stress.

Up to 4 pounds body weight- 0.25 milliliters administered by subcutaneous injection twice daily. 5 to 14 pounds body weight- 0.5 to 1 milliliters administered by subcutaneous injection twice daily. 15 to 30 pounds body weight- 2 to 3 milliliters administered by subcutaneous injection twice daily. 30 to 45 pounds body weight- 3 to 4 milliliters administered by subcutaneous injection twice daily. 45 to 60 pounds body weight- 4 to 5 milliliters administered by subcutaneous injection twice daily. Over 60 pounds body weight- 6 milliliters administered by subcutaneous injection twice daily. Following the last injection administer prochlorperazine and isopropamide sustained release capsules as indicated.

4 to 15 pounds body weight- 1 capsule administered orally twice daily 16 to 30 pounds body weight- 1 to 2 capsules administered orally twice daily Less than 4 pounds body weight- appropriate fraction of one capsule administered orally twice daily
