Laboratory mice (1)

  • The drug is used for the treatment of Syphacia obvelata (pinworm) in laboratory mice.

    Prepare fresh solution every 3 days. Do not use simultaneously with other drugs, insecticides, pesticides, or chemicals having cholinesterase activity, nor within 7 days before or after treatment with any other cholinesterase inhibitor. Restricted to use by trichlorfon oral liquid. Federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.

Laboratory mice (1)

  • It is administered in distilled water as sole source of drinking water continuously for 7 to 14 days at 1.67 grams of trichlorfon and 7.7 milligrams of atropine per liter.

    Oral

    Prepare fresh solution every 3 days. Do not use simultaneously with other drugs, insecticides, pesticides, or chemicals having cholinesterase activity, nor within 7 days before or after treatment with any other cholinesterase inhibitor. Restricted to use by trichlorfon oral liquid. Federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.

    Dyrex Powder

  • Dogs and Cats: Inject intravenously, intramuscularly, or subcutaneously, 1 mL for each 20 lbs of body weight as a preanesthetic adjuvant, or to reudce salivation, bronchial secretions, or intestinal peristalsis associated with colic or diarrhea. As an antidote for parasympathomimetic drugs, inject 1 mL for each 5 lbs of body weight administered to effect and repeat as necessary. It is suggested that 1/4 of the dosage be injected intravenously and the remainder intramuscularly or subcutaneously.
