Special qualities: Domestic Balkan donkey used traditionally as animal carrying saddle, used to transport riders and goods. Can carry over 100 kg of cargo on a big slope and undeveloped mountain trails. Obey and durable. Can play an important role in the development of tourism in the mountain and rural areas. Comments: Extensive breeding. Feeding of adults: Not very demanding, it is satisfied with a small amount of bad and bulky food. In summer time-pasture, winter food- forages with minimal involvement of the concentrate. Housing period: Winter months.
